I offer you my hand
On this very special day;
For friendship and collaboration
To really come our way.
The world needs us all
To hold hands and work together;
If we don't get going soon
We'll all pay for this forever.
So on this Friendship Day this year
Lets start to make all anew;
For trust and honesty to be the norm
And not just precious to a few.
So friend what can I do for you?
Just what else is there to say;

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you.
And share with you it's beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own.
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea.
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me,
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair
