Grandads like to spend time with us
They can't hear very well so we can shout;
They tell us jokes and have a laugh
They're teeth wobble and can even take them out.

My Grandad takes me fishing
I think it's because it's quiet;
We're quite good at it now you know
We take lots of goodies and break our diet.
Everyone thinks we cheated
When we caught a great big trout;
But we don't really care about that
Cos we had a fabulous day out!

Grandfathers are a special breed
Of kinfolk, all their own.
They love you and hug you,
And spoil you to death.
And then, they send you home.

They say that grandfathers hair is silver
With lots of gold in their heart;
My grandads far to young for that
I'm not sure where to start!
His hide and seek is quite unique
He goes up on the roof;
We never thought of looking up there
So that idea was foolproof.
He always has a smile
No matter what we've done;
He's kind and funny
Our Grandad-The only one!

Grandads jokes are a specialty
I don't know where he gets them;
He's the only one who laughs
And everyones a gem.
