They say that genes ship a generation
So maybe that's why I'm like you;
I'm so glad about that Grandma
Apart from your hairs gone blue.
Why ever did you do that?
I'm not sure I'll ever know;
But our good looks will still prevail
As alongside you I grow.
Love you Grandma-more than you'll ever know!

Grandmother you are like a patchwork quilt
So cozy and warm.
Just the smell of coffee
Reminds me of your wisdom and charm.
I know I can always come to you
When lost or alone.
For you always comfort me
And make me feel at home.
You are the silver lining of a cloudy day.
And I know whom can trust
when clouds blow my way.
Grandmother, your hugs and kisses
Will be stored in my heart each day.

Old Woman
As a white candle
In a holy place,
So is the beauty
Of an aged face.

I must grow older gracefully
I'm sure that's what you said;
But fulfilling your bucket list
You're gonna land up dead.
Jumping out of aeroplanes
Is what you want to do;
But give a thought to all of us
Having palpitations watching you.
We love you dearly and always have
You know we always will;
You have no need to worry
As your not over that hill.

Grandma always knows best
I know that to be true;
She knows so very many things
As she's older than me and you.
Her memory goes back years and years
But she loses track of time;
I love all her stories though
Especially 'cos she' mine.
