I just have to say
That I have got to go;
My feelings are not right just now
If they change I'll let you know.
Just who do I think I am
Is what you'll say I know;
But that won't change a thing
As I really have to go.
Difficult to put in words
Harder to address;
I will promise you though
I will try my best.
I don't feel good at all
At saying this to you;
But for now the only thing
For sure is that we're through!

I don't think you heard me right
I'm leaving and right now;
You are not coming with me
I don't want you anyhow.
It's very sad it's gone this way
I'm not sure what to do;
But I know for sure that whatever it is
It will not be with you.
Living together turned from a dream
To a nightmare beyond compare;
Our lifestyles are so different
We never would be a pair.
So don't expect a letter
Or a message from me now;
As there's no point in dragging on
Otherwise we'll row.

Moving on to pastures new
A new place of work I know;
New tasks and responsibilities
My skills I will have to show.
So I leave you comrades
With a smile on my face;
I'm sure I'll bump into you
When I return to base.

If I have to move one more time
My gasket I will blow;
Landlords need to appreciate
The stress of having to go.
They say that moving house
Is one down on the list;
From losing a loved one
Maybe I'll get p...ed.
Holidays are on that list
But I think I would prefer;
To go on one of them
Than have my rent deferred.
**
One kind kiss before we part,
Drop a tear, and bid adieu;
Though we sever, my fond heart
Till we meet shall pant for you.
Robert Dodsley

I've been a false friend in your shadow
Though it is now time to go;
I've stepped out into the sunlight
Just so that you would know.
I'm sorry but I'm moving on
This time to pastures new;
I haven't treated you very well
I'm sorry, I am-it's true.
I cannot be a hypocrite
I've been one for far to long;
You deserve someone so much better
Me for you, is just so wrong!
