On many occasions we've had to shout

For joy on some occasions;

This time though without a doubt

This time with no persuasion.

We've loved the extensions to the family

Each and everyone of you;

Has added so much to our lives

We adore you all-oh yes we do!

There's nothing like being Mom or Dad

Nothing is able to compare;

Although at times you drive us crazy

We love you and really care.

So if sometimes we nag

We know with this you will agree;

We have your interest in our hearts

And one day you will see!!

Parenting needs a handbook

And although there are many who have tried;

Because of the extreme diversity

Once done there's no place to hide.

We do our best no matter what

The perils of everyday life;

Our love and laughter will carry us through

With the minimum of strife.

To Mom and Dad

You are the best;

To put up with us you're

A cut above the rest.

On this special day of yours

We want to say to you;

We must help you so much more

To appreciate all that you do.

So today your chores are ours

Let's see how we get on;

We'll tell you later how we feel

When everything's been done.

Knacked!!

Your love and faith has carried me

Throughout many, many years;

Without all of that belief

I would have shed so many tears.

Thank you doesn't say the half

Although they really should;

As I'm stuck now for anymore

Understand - I knew you would!

Babies don't come with a handbook
We follow how our childhood went;
Or go in an opposite direction
Causing havoc when all effort is spent.

We try our best and some are great
But all of us could do better;
For there's no greater love
Than a child for it's pater.

They arrive all innocent and pure
Only later do we realise the reponsibility we had;
As adults they stand before us
Tall and proud or maybe sad and bad.

So lets celebrate the joys of parenthood
Caring and sharing all our love;
With these little people just like us
That have been a gift from God above.
