I feel so very sad
I feel so very blue;
As this is the first time
I didn't think of you.
Many years ago you died
The anniversary of your burial;
It didn't even cross my mind
It's always been so special.
I feel sad that finally
I've had to let you go;
You're now so deep in my heart
Sometimes I don't even know!

Some say you have to work at love
Others say if you have to work that's not right;
I've tried so very, very hard
But something's still not right.
So let's cut this off real quick
Move out and separate;
So we can start to heal
And one day we'll be mates

We don't think we've felt this way
About anyone before;
When you were born we took one look
Our hearts just leapt and soared.
You were only meant to be here
For a moment or two;
The angels took you back to God
We will always love you!

Sometimes you love something so much that it hurts to leave it, but you must. Sometimes it hurts too much to hold on to that thing you love. And sometimes you let go of what you love because it hurts, but then just sometimes... you get it back and live happily ever after.
**
Why did you have to leave
Why did you have to go;
I suppose there will always be
Some things I'll never know.
It makes it hard as you left
Me without a heart to give;
I'm only half as good
And only half a life to live.

When I'm alone with you
I can really be myself;
It's not usually that way
I thought I'd be on the shelf.
Then you went away
Without a word or thought;
I 'm devastated
Now I know I'm worth nought!!
**
The loss of a loved one
Takes it toll alright;
It leaves a gaping hole
In the middle of the night.
Routine and habits come into play
For some normality to be;
Within your daytime waking hours
It will not last forever-you'll see!
Talking about him will ease the pain
It will feel as if he is still here;
The laughs, the jokes, the memories
All of those will never disappear.
