I wish things were like they used to be
And I could undo what I said;
I heard it in a film one time
To wish that we were wed.
That wasn't what we'd promised
And it's me that's changed not you;
Light and airy was what we said
But I thought you loved me too?
The planning for the future
Just seemed to fall in place;
If I could have another wish
It would be for you to think I'm ace!
