Thank You can never be big enough
For your never giving up on me;
I had spent years always at the bottom
Being told I was made out of a tree.
The plank inuendo didn't serve me well
But you saw past that and told me so;
That I could achieve whatever I wanted to
And Thanks to you I now know!
So Thank you for changing my life
Success stories abound so watch this space;
I will always attribute everything I do
To you as the gold trophies I chase.

One Hundred Years from now
It will not matter
What kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much money was in my bank account
Nor what my clothes looked like.
But the world may be a better place because
I was important in the life of a child.

A child is not a vessel to be filled, but a lamp to be lit.

My curiosity all aroused
As you'd state some odd fact;
Making me want to seek out more
Even though it was rather abstract.
My confidence grew as brain cells increased
Although activation seemed to take a while;
Your patience and humor never did pale
Even though it was more than the extra mile.
You saved me from lacking quality in my life
With all the new skills that I acquired;
So Thank You for raising my confidence
I hope I'll be one of your memories when you've retired.
I will never forget you
And Thank You again!
For igniting my spark please
Celebrate with champagne

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN’T LOOKING
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you displayed my first report, and I wanted to do another.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you fed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you gave me a sticker, and I knew that little things were special things.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you put your arm around me, and I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn’t looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt--but that it’s all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you smiled, and it made me want to look that pretty too.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, you cared, and I wanted to be everything I could be.
When you thought I wasn’t looking--I looked...and wanted to say thanks for all those things you did when you thought I wasn’t looking.
